The Customer Service Representative provides exceptional service to all GPHA patients with a high degree of professionalism and grace. Uses computer skills to collect patient information, register patients, and verify patient insurance status with speed and accuracy. Manipulates the Electronic Practice Management (EPM) system to manage appointments and patient flow. Must be able to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment and handle emergencies. Responds promptly and courteously to patient needs and requests for service/assistance. Demonstrates sound leadership and judgment in resolving patient complaints, insurance discrepancies, and a variety of other service issues that arise in a healthcare setting.
Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent; One (1) year of experience in Customer Service, Office Administration, or Insurance/Healthcare required; Exceptional customer service, verbal communication, attention to detail, and strong computer skills required; Knowledge of Managed Care or HMOs strongly preferred.
