The Desktop Engineering Manager is responsible for the engineering, development, configuration, standards, deployment and support of all desktop systems in the corporate enterprise. The Desktop Engineering Manager plans, coordinates and evaluates the work of the Systems Administrators & Desktop Engineers who provide technical services 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
Qualified candidates for the Desktop Engineering Manager position will have a minimum 7 years of Information Technology Management experience. Minimum 5 of years of experience in a support/troubleshooting position. Experience with Windows XP/7/8 Core OS and Internals.
Working knowledge of Application packaging and distribution methodologies. Strong knowledge of Windows Active Directory and GPO. Experience with solutions engineering via automated, standard and repeatable methods.
Experience in project management processes and methodologies. Strong knowledge of Information Technology regulations and laws. Proven customer service skills including the ability to focus on building customer relationships and responding to customer needs. Excellent verbal and written skills.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; master’s degree preferred.
