About the Job


The Project Analyst (PA) position provides support to a Division’s project/program teams. While not actually participating in the activities of the project, working for a Director in the Washington DC Metro area, the PA helps keep track of every phase of the various Division projects to help monitor and ensure their effectiveness and proper completion. The PA will help design, develop, establish and maintain key reporting standards for particular projects/programs. The PA processes and reviews performance indicators, and makes recommendations.  With the consent of the Director, the PA works on overall project planning and formulates reports based on project scheduling and timetables for deliverables.  In the absence of the Director, the PA is expected to take action, therefore the analyst must have analytical skills possess the ability and demonstrate the initiative to think/act independently and possess excellent oral and written communication abilities.  The PA will help manage, inspire and foster an environment of cooperation between the Division, different departments and co-workers.

The individual responsibilities of a PA will vary but above all, they are responsible for helping to keep projects/programs on track, within budget and within compliance of the requirements.  The PA will play a key role in monitoring and the supervision of those contracts and personnel assigned to each Division as well as supporting organic and new business growth.

  • Project/Program scheduling and timetables and overall management of the project/program to include:

    • Track and report on progress of the project/programs and the project/program teams.

    • Analyzing financial and program information, conduct forecasting, determine variances and prepare/review contract deliverables

    • Complete Lack of Funding (LOF) letters

    • Coordinate Personnel Action Forms (PAF)

    • Prepare and maintain Estimates at Completion (EAC)

    • Review ProSol and subcontractor invoices for accuracy and anomalies

  • Support Organic Growth and New Business Development efforts as required:
    • Coordinate Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA)
    • Work with the GovWin CRM to conduct searches/analysis and review or input of data

    • Support marketing, capture, pricing and proposal development to include review of volumes/sections, resume development and past performance

    • Organize and participate on new contract ‘kickoffs’

  • Support the Project/Program Managers working within the Division as directed:
    • Reviewing time-sheets to ensure compliance with company policy
    • Track and monitor corporate/program/project training requirements and make recommendations for additional training
    • Support the Divisions Recruiting Efforts
    • Identify needs and prepare Purchase Requests
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Division Director such as:
      • Coordinate facility security issues
      • Facilitate travel requests
      • Prepare salary actions, bonus and other forms of employee recognition
      • Support the annual employee evaluation processing


-Knowledgeable of all phases of the Division’s project/program management life cycle.

-Able to use computer applications software such as Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel Sharepoint and Microsoft Project.

-Have strong written and verbal communication skills

-Possess analytical skills, be able to multitask, prioritize and work/think independently

-Must be able to learn quickly and be confident in choices as they may have significant impact

Education & Experience Requirements:

-A.A. degree with 4 years overall work experience; BA degree is preferred.

-Financial or Accounting skills

Security Clearance: -Secret
Additional Clearance Information: Top Secret, preferred
Physical Demands:- Office environment
Schedule: -Monday - Friday
Standard Work Hours: - Core hours: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
Travel Expectations: -10-15%
Travel Schedule: -As needed to support ProSol
