ROLE OVERVIEW

This key position will be accountable for leading and closing corporate sponsorship sales fundraising efforts across XPRIZE.

  • Direct responsibility for selling corporate sponsorships of XPRIZE competitions in order to meet and or exceed Prize requirements and Foundation revenue and cash goals.
  • Develop and manage a centralized sales pipeline for the Foundation.
  • Collaborate with XPRIZE executives on sales strategies and development of products and platforms.
  • Utilize both Foundation networking opportunities as well as your own pre-existing networks to generate sales leads and sponsorship relationships.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with current and potential sponsors.
  • Manage and deliver consistent, accurate reporting of pipeline and sales status, KPI’s, risk and opportunities.
  • Train, develop and manage a best-in-class sales team as required.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 10 years proven track record of directly closing corporate sponsorship sales, with cumulative funds raised of $30M+.
  • Experience managing sales with a CRM platform such as Salesforce
  • Experience directly leading or supporting contract negotiations related to sponsorship sales and programs.
  • Demonstrated professional sales presentation skills and outstanding communication skills essential for interactions and ongoing relationships with prospective sponsors, donors and partners
  • Undergraduate degree preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Exchange, and MS Office Suite, especially MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
