Saint-Gobain’s NorPro is searching for a DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES to be part of their leadership team. This is an opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing global business located in Stow, Ohio.
The ideal candidate will direct the North American Human Resources function for Saint-Gobain NorPro which includes the following; Identify Human Resource needs; develop, implement and maintain programs to achieve health, safety and human resources goals, requests and requirements. Accountability includes: solving organizational issues, strategic workforce planning, staffing, employment, labor relations, wages, salary, benefits, employee development, EEO, affirmative action, employee relations and all governmental regulatory requirements while fully complying with the Groups commitments to business ethics.
Identify Human Resource needs, measure and manage HR metrics and provide HR guidance to all NorPro U.S. locations. Meet all HR requests and requirements to meet NorPro HR, business, CMA HR and the NA Delegation strategies and goals.
Maintain the following HR policies, procedures and programs: benefit programs: salary administration policies, Hay administration, insurances, pensions, HR practices and procedures, compliance activities with state and federal regulations such as EEO, Fair Labor Standards, OSHA, ERISA, Wage and Hour Laws and the NLRB. Insure all practices are implemented properly in compliance with the law and applied fairly and consistently, sound employment practices, prevent litigious actions to the business and meet Saint-Gobain’s commitment to business ethics and compliance activities.
Talent management; provide employee development, training, succession planning, effective Performance Appraisal Reviews, and successful recruiting. Development of employees to meet the skill sets required to match the business expectations (current and future), to provide successors for key positions to meet the business short and long term plans, objectives and strategies. Serve as pillar owner for the World-Class Management (WCM) People Development program pillar and lead HR team, in partnership with the business, in pillar route applications when appropriate man/method loss is discovered.
Provide special assistance and organizational analysis concerning areas of organization structure, defining work functions, management and employee relationships, culture and all other organizational dynamics that help to build an effective and cohesive leadership team.
Prepare for, direct and represent the company in collective bargaining, union contract administration and labor laws. Create a positive labor relations climate with the USW plants and maintain non-union status in other facilities. Achieve labor contract settlements within guidelines.
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Business or Labor Relations and a Master’s Degree is highly preferred
15 years multi-location HR experience, business acumen and skills to represent the business management team, appropriate experience to serve as NorPro spokesperson for negotiating union labor contracts and experience handling complex organizational issues.
PHR or SPHR-certification preferred; functional HR Generalist Expertise required.
