Director of Sales & Business Development - Media/Entertainment

About the Job

Summary
Reporting to Head of Sales for the Americas, and based in Los Angeles, this position is to develop new business, establishing & developing customer relationships from set of existing accounts as well as new accounts.

At the same time, this candidate is also expected to drive new and existing customers to embrace xxx Communications Media Management and Media Movement services. (Content Vault, Content Transformation, Video Connect, CDN, connected devices, and telco services like MPLS, IPLC, voice, hosting and colocation.)

This is a critical role requiring ability to work independently, with initiative, innovation and determination.

Essential Duties
Manage and sell media services, managed services and network services to large international and regional media customers and service providers.

Build a detailed understanding of key global accounts and understand their infrastructure needs, xxx’ unique selling proposition for these customers and work with global account team to pitch to the customers.

Build customer relationships to expand our customer base and business in the market

Increase revenue base by mapping customer decision makers from within their organization hierarchy to sell more services.

To lead and influence a global account team

Ability to hunt for new customers in addition to the set of existing accounts

Work closely with our existing global partners in selling services.

Attend global conferences to educate and market xxx media services

Ability to work with global teams in different time zones to fulfill customer requirements.

Qualifications
>5 years sales experience in a broadcast, telecommunications and/or IT services business, preferably managing international media customers. Candidates with more experience will be considered for a senior position
Strong sales and commercial track record


Skills
Strong sales skills and customer relationship skills
Experience in the broadcast, digital media and online industry
Good understanding of content caching, delivery of large file downloads and video streaming
Strong business acumen
Self-motivated and ability to work independently
Good knowledge of networking services
