As a Director, Original Content at Dentsu Aegis, located in the Los Angeles area, you will supports The Story Lab’s original content development for Microsoft. You will be an entrepreneurial, spirited leader as well as a collaborative, enthusiastic resource for brand management for all things content/branded content across platforms/channels, with a specific focus on the digital space. Pivotal to success in this role will be your ability to develop concepts that not only meet brand filters, but further elevate the client’s original content offerings to create distinctive, compelling, relevant programming that resonates with an audience. You will then supervise all phases of the pre-production, production, and post process to ensure deliverables are executed as conceived. You will utilize your creative, big-picture thinking skills and excellent writing and communication abilities to crystallize and pitch concepts and strategy with clarity and enthusiasm. You will also put to use your strong relationships within the creative community and tap into your abilities to stay atop of current content, pop culture, sports and technology trends, shifts and how those impact the business. Relevant and practical experience in content development is required. Ideal candidates will have worked at, and/or with, a similar blue-chip brand in some form, whether from the publisher, brand, network or agency side. You will also use your keen abilities to act as a brand ambassador and liaise between client, production entity and media owner. You will create budget and production calendars and guarantee satisfactory and timely delivery of series. So, a discerning eye for detail is essential. A bachelor's degree is required for this role as are excellent written and verbal communication skills.
