eCommerce Configuration Specialist

The Storefront Configuration Specialist will work to create an optimal user experience for users of eCommerce storefronts running on a proprietary platform; works with designers and developers to create consistent functionality; tests usability; works under general supervision; performs additional duties as assigned. This is an entry-level position with significant potential for growth into a more senior role in the area of web application development.

 

Responsibilities

·         Build out custom features for eCommerce storefronts based on wireframes and functional documents detailing functionality of applications

·         Create recommendations for improving user experience

·         Assists in the development of test scenarios and associated documentation

·         Identifies custom features suited for incorporation into the core platform and works with Software Development team to facilitate integration

 

Technical Requirements

·         BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent

·         Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Programming methodologies

·         Experience with SQL and database optimization

·         Knowledge of enterprise level, distributed SCM; Knowledge of AccuRev a plus

·         Knowledge of Ruby on Rails a plus

·         Knowledge and experience using automated test tools

·         Familiarity with concepts of web-based software applications

·         Familiarity with distributed application development

·         Exposure to Agile programming methodology

·         Exposure to test procedure development, maintenance, and execution

·         Exposure to writing functional and unit tests

·         Ability to interpret requirements and translate them into functional elements

·         Ability to write clear, concise and effective documentation

·         Strong interpersonal presentation and communication skills
