Job Description:
Our client is a digital studio northwest of the city near O'Hare who has just won new business and they are eager to hire new interactive talent!
They are in need of 2 Storefront Configuration Specialists.
In this role you will be working with the team to create optimal user experiences for users of eCommerce storefronts running on a proprietary platform and working with the team to create consistent functionality, testing usability and grooming yourself to move into a more senior role.
Responsibilities:
Building out custom features for eCommerce storefronts based on wireframes and functional docs
Create recommendations for improving the UX
Assisting in the development of test scenarios and associated documentation
Identifying custom features suited for incorporation into the core platform and working with the senior development team
Please let us know which of the following technical requirements you meet:
- knowledge of OOP methodologies
- experience with SQL and database optimization
- knowledge of enterprise level, distributed SCM, or AccuRev
- Ruby on Rails a plus
- knowledge of automated test tools
- familiarity with concepts of web-based software applications
- familiarity with distributed application development
- exposure to Agile programming methodology
- exposure to test procedure development, maintenance and execution
- exposure to writing functional and unit test
- ability to interpret requirements and translating to functional elements
This position is ideal for someone who has some exposure to eCommerce in a Usability /entry level programming role but who is willing to move into a more senior role with time.
