Environmental Scientist–Minot, ND
Will support the hazardous materials and compliance program at Minot Air Force Base (AFB). Duties include, but are not limited to: assisting in the preparation of Emergency Planning and Community Right-to Know Act reporting requirements, conducting training on various environmental compliance topics (air, water, hazardous waste), supporting routine environmental inspections, assisting with air emissions reporting, and assisting at the central accumulation site. Conduct inspections of shops, facilities, and containers.
1 - 5 years of work experience in the management of hazardous materials or general environmental compliance programs, preferably at a large Federal or commercial manufacturing facility operating as a large quantity generator of hazardous wastes. Experience with databases. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a must. Hazwoper training / certification required.
Must be able to pass a background investigation to obtain a security badge to enter the applicable government facility.
BS in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, related degree, or equivalent.
