Description

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has an exciting new opportunity for a gTLD Registry Liaison at its office in Marina Del Rey, California or Washington D.C. USA. The gTLD Registry Liaison's primary role will be to create a process and structure to on-board new gTLDs .

This position reports directly to the Chief gTLD Registry Liaison.

Key Responsibilities include:

•    Manage ICANN’s Registry Services Evaluation Process
•    Develop gTLD Registry on-boarding program
•    Develop and implement processes to streamline operational activities
•    Work closely with the Registrar Liaison team to resolve issues impacting gTLD Registries
•    Support efforts of the Contractual Compliance team to achieve gTLD Registry compliance with agreements and ICANN policy
•    Work with the Policy team to implement new policies once approved by the community and the ICANN Board
•    Constantly seek improvement and innovation in the relationship between ICANN and the gTLD Registries
•    Writing detailed reports to document interactions with gTLD Registries



Required Skills

•    Bachelor's Degree required  
•    Previous experience working for a registry or registrar is preferred
•    Broad understanding of technical issues involving the Internet/Internet Industry experience
•    Contract negotiations experience is required
•    Contracts management experience is required
•    Excellent project management skills
•    Strong client relations experience
•    Strong quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills
•    Demonstrated ability to develop and implement process enhancements
•    Demonstrated ability to independently  manage project activities
•    An ability to work with minimal supervision under pressure and to deadlines is essential
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills
•    Excellent presentation skills
•    Proficiency in MS Office



Required Experience

•    Previous experience working for a registry or registrar is preferred

ICANN is a nonprofit public benefit corporation responsible for the global coordination of the Internet's system of unique identifiers. These include domain names as well as the addresses used in a variety of Internet protocols. Computers use these identifiers to reach each other over the Internet.
