ACP is looking for a highly motivated and successful Data Center Support Technician to be part of our dynamic team at our Riverwoods, IL location.

Data Center Support Technician

Job Description

Monitors and troubleshoots system back-ups
Manages security patches for Intel servers
Builds Windows and Linux Server environments
Ensures Data Center access is enforced, including escorting vendors
Inventory Management - Spare parts, stock room and cable stock inventory
Conduct monthly Production Inventory/Audit
Provide "Hands and Eyes" and server troubleshooting as directed by 2nd level teams
File restores
Maintenance of remote print center
Monitors incident ticket queues and takes appropriate action
Data Center walk through (checking for server error lights, failed drives and failed power supplies)
Provides 2nd set of hands/eyes for issue resolution in critical environments
Performs miscellaneous Data Center related tasks as directed by Data Center Operations Management
Should have experience with Redhat Linux, Windows OS, Windows Server OS and basic Hardware  and system components

Skills Required:

Windows and Linux operating systems
First level technical support
Understanding of Server Hardware and system components
Excellent written and oral communications
Ability to work alone or with minimal supervision
Ability to work second shift - 3 pm to 11:30 pm, Sunday to Thursday
