We also develop the technology behind Ingenio Pay Per Call. AT&T Interactive is a wholly owned subsidiary of AT&T.

Join our dedicated and talented team of individuals all focused on creating the best products in the marketplace. We currently have an opportunity for an Associate Director, Business Intelligence Product Management - Traffic in our Glendale, CA offices.

This is highly visible technical/inbound product management role within the BI organization, focused on optimizing our traffic reporting and analytic capabilities.

Responsibilities

Process Leadership

A central part of this role is to develop and manage multiple processes related to traffic reporting. You will provide outstanding cross functional leadership on multiple processes across disparate stakeholder organizations including BI, QA, Product Engineering, and Analytics. Key processes include: logging/data collection, traffic project prioritization, data governance, and meta data management.

Logging / data collection process

Ensure that we are collecting the right information to support reporting initiatives.

· Provide end-to-end leadership for logging design for new web sites, mobile applications, and API/distribution partners (“design for measurability”).

· Work closely with mobile and web product groups to understand logging from their perspective and translate that into scalable and efficient processes and templates for the BI team

· Contribute to individual logging specs as required

· Consult with technical teams on development of next generation data storage systems to manage high volume click steam data

Traffic project prioritization process

Manage work requests from a variety of sources including new product launches, reporting initiatives, data quality and integrity, and ad hoc requests.

· Develop a transparent process for prioritizing all work items, to ensure that our development teams focus on the right projects in the right order to optimize our BI portfolio
  • Manage a weekly triage meeting to evaluate new requests, filter and vet requirements, and communicate regularly with all stakeholders about priorities.
  • Develop a longer term roadmap for traffic reporting and analytics
  • Maintain a wiki page to communicate priorities

Traffic Metrics Leadership

Provide end-to-end ownership of traffic reporting. Apply your strong domain expertise and detailed knowledge of our traffic reporting systems as an “internal consultant” partnering with business groups on strategic business optimization initiatives.

  • Own the numbers: Become a thought leader, go-to person, and trouble-shooter for all things traffic
  • Define and evangelize new metrics and KPIs
  • Manage monthly publication processes for official traffic numbers
  • Serve as the official “voice” for traffic reporting.
  • Create and maintain an end-user oriented wiki site to communicate with users about traffic metrics

Traffic Product Management

Apply classic product management skills to drive a variety of traffic-rated projects (new reports, metrics, tools, etc.) from both and in-bound and out-bound perspective.
  • Gather, document, and prioritize requirements
  • Represent the interests of BI in various cross-functional teams and initiatives
  • Provide the key liaison between business users and the BI engineering teams
  • Shepherd new reports and analytics through the BI release process
  • Track key tasks and milestones
  • Manage user acceptance testing
  • Launch and train business users on how to use new reporting capabilities
  • Create basic reports and ad hoc analyses for end users using our report creation tools (Business Objects)

Qualifications
  • 3-5 years in a classic web or software inbound, technical product management role
  • 2-3 years deep domain experience in web metrics/analytics, with a top-tier web company (e.g. Google, Yahoo, ASK, etc.)
  • Technical background in database, BI, data mining, log file analysis, or related fields
  • Excellent product and project management skills
  • High level of energy, passionate about web metrics, and intellectually curious
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to explain complex products and processes to lay audiences.
  • Ability to multi-task and juggle many projects
  • Ability to think strategically, but also detail oriented and hands-on
  • Out-of-the box thinker who can rethink and fundamentally redesign old ways of doing business
  • BS in related field, MBA preferred

We offer competitive salaries, excellent benefits including a 401(k), bonuses, and a casual yet high-energy work environment.
