Andrus provides annually a broad network of supports to over 2,500 vulnerable children and families of all backgrounds and means. Our mental health division (MHD) extends individualized child and family interventions, supports parents, caregivers, and helps children and their families build on their unique strengths while managing their particular challenges.  With Clinics in Yonkers, White Plains, and Peekskill, we are able to provide services to families in northern, southern, and central Westchester.             

The Bilingual Business Operations Associate provides general financial and administrative support in a fast paced front desk clinic operation; ensures commercial and MMC Insurance Eligibility is verified daily; checks in patients at MHD clinics and collects co-pays and payments on account; maximizes collections and reduces write-offs by adhering to agency protocol; supports clinicians in maximizing their appointment schedules; verifies insurance eligibility for any and all last minute appointments outside of the normal 48 hour in-advance verification procedures; provides exemplary customer service and presents a professional Image; maintains a professional image when dealing with callers and visitors and generally ensures the smooth functioning of the front office and clinic.  Shift is  Monday thru Friday and working mid day to evening hours.


The qualified candidate will possess:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent.  Some college or Business Training School a plus
  • Minimum 2 years experience in clinic or group medical office setting
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft applications
  • Ability to interact with public and staff in a professional manner
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills
  • Well organized and able to multi-task
  • Ability to travel and possess a valid driver’s license
