### Summary

You will serve as an Occupational Health Nurse in the Naval Branch Clinic Everett Washington. The Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) is a registered professional nurse with significant clinical skills, who has acquired through professional experience and additional education, knowledge in toxicology, industrial hygiene and safety regulations.

In this position, you will perform meaningful professional work such as the following:Function as the nurse in charge of the Occupational Health Clinic to plan, implement, direct and coordinate comprehensive nursing care in the occupational setting.

* Interact with and provide occupational related care to patients in a clinical setting.
* Provide technical and administrative supervision to support personnel assigned to the clinic.
* Assign personnel according to the needs of the clinic.
* Coordinate, manage and implement surveillance programs.
* Design and implement preventive health education programs.

Applicants must meet the following Basic Requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must have successfully completed a graduate or higher level degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs, Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. (Note - Official certification from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools is required for individuals who graduated from foreign nursing schools).
AND
have passed the National Council Licensure Examination.
AND
possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate you have successfully completed a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree from a professional nursing educational program or related medical science field; OR possess a diploma, bachelor's degree, or master's degree from a professional nursing educational program and have at least one or more full years of professional nursing experience that is equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing clinical nursing care and occupational health and safety nursing services to employees in relation to their occupations and working environments; and providing treatment and administering care for illness of occupational origin and injuries that occur at the workplace.

Certification by the American Board of Occupational Health Nurses (ABOHN) as a Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) is desired, but not required

A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the applicant fails to report to the scheduled drug test appointment.
