Value Place (www.valueplace.com) is the fastest growing brand in the history of the lodging industry. Our concept is a cross between a hotel and an apartment; we are a new concept and operate in niche - weekly/monthly hotel room rentals. With all of the turmoil in employment and housing foreclosures we have a product that is in high demand, with occupancy rates over 85% nationwide.
As the largest economy extended stay lodging franchise in the U.S. we currently operate over 180 hotels in more than 30 states. By December 2016 we have plans to open another 125 locations, with goals to have 1,000 locations nationwide. Our property management company is ranked in the top 20 largest company owned PMCs with locations throughout the U.S.
We seek professionals with prior multi-unit hotel management, maintenance, or sales background. Our business model is much simpler than full service hotels; more closely aligned with apartment property management, i.e. weekly rentals only, limited front desk hours of service, no pool, no dining, etc. Outside sales experience is preferred. Critical skills include management selection and training, cost control, local store marketing, and a commitment to quality.
Area Manager Trainee (AMT’S) are experienced General Managers or Apartment Managers looking to advance to a multi-unit responsibility. If selected you would enter a fast track personalized training program designed to build the skills to become an Area Manager in 18-24 months. AMT’s are “turnaround specialists” able to take control of a problem property and provide the leadership to retrain/replace staff, build occupancy, increase revenue and improve profit. Their assignments are typically 4-8 weeks in length, so AMT’s are road warriors, professional travelers whose lifestyle allows them to be away from “home” for extended periods of time. This job requires 100% travel. Our best AMT’s are typically promoted to area manager responsibility with 24 months of hire. Our compensation package is above market; all travel expenses are paid and we offer paid time off between assignments.
Our culture is performance based…we work hard and we play hard, but we respect the balance between personal life and work life, offering truly equal opportunity and advancement based on merit. We operate with fewer but better people.
If working in a high performance, rapidly growing, company who takes care of their employees so that they will take care of the customer sounds like a place you would like to work don’t let this opportunity pass you by. EOE
