SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
A hands-on position managing a team of Electrical and SW Engineers in the design and development of large scale processing equipment used in data storage, solar and LED industries. The equipment mixes mechanical, electrical and software attributes to produce high volume precision manufacturing equipment. The team consists of 3-5 Electrical and SW Engineers, and will require the manager to direct and guide the activity of the team, as well as contribute to the design. The position is approximately 75% individual contributor and 25% manager, but will evolve into more management as the team grows. Specific areas of responsibility include assisting with and managing the development of the system user interface, including software for motion control and vision systems. Also responsible for circuit design integrating motion control components, safety interlocks and I/O for both digital and analog circuits. In addition to the technical aspects, this position requires the management of engineering schedules, resource assignments, scoping of new projects, and management reporting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Analog and Digital circuit design
System-level software design using C#,C++
Windows-based programming, including design of user interface, vision and motion control system software integration.
Managing outsourced vendors performing PCBA design
Provide technical guidance for EE and SW engineers
Managing EE and SW Engineering resources and schedules
Scoping of potential new projects – estimating time and material requirements
Reporting project status to management

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
BSEE or CS, prefer MS and/or MBA
Minimum 5 years experience, prefer 7+
Experience with windows programming in C# and/or C++
Experience with system-level circuit design
