Role & Responsibilities
- You will develop and execute the technology and product roadmaps for Industrial Products Group (IPG). You are well versed in the market requirements, customer QFD and design principle to select the most appropriate motion solutions
- You will manage and lead a team of engineers on motor technology and application design, including product improvement and new motor design & development
- You will set up and grow the R&D teams to achieve goals for new product development and BU supporting. Devise mid-to-long term product design direction, and new business opportunities
Required Profile
- The company is expanding the product lines as well as the market segments. This is a vital role within IPG to determine the new product development / motor design direction and roadmap based upon the analysis of the market intelligence, new technology and the company’s capacity
- Knowledge in motor design is a must; a plus for product application design experience in electro-mechanical sub-systems
- Experience in managing new development project to ensure production launch on time
Required Competencies
- PhD and/or Advanced Degree in Engineering, concentration in Electro-mechanical is preferred
- 10 -15 years of motor design and application related experience with prior experience in new product development
- Solid design experience in high precision, low voltage brushless DC motors typically for home appliances, powertools, industry or automotive products
- Familiar with process engineering, quality standard and international standard such as UL, IEC and VDE
- Proven record in problem solving and leadership skills
- Proficiency in the presentation and communication skills in English is a must
- The work location of the position is in Shenzhen, China
- Candidates with less experience may be considered for less senior position
