Heavy Equipment Operator
To design, engineer, build, and integrate an automated vehicle gate system to support the Department of Defense technology, manpower, and security needs.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Incidental construction responsibilities to include, but are not limited to:
Concrete walkway modifications.
Aluminum/iron fencing modifications.
Concrete foundation modifications.
Exterior equipment cabinet installation.
Light demolition work.
Removal/reapplication of roadway markings.
General labor assistance.
KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION:
Must hold a High School Diploma.
Must be U.S Citizen.
OSHA – 30 (preferred).
OSHA 300 Training (preferred).
Fall Protection Training (preferred).
USACE Quality Control (preferred).
CPR – Adult/AED/First Aid-Adult(preferred).
Must be eligible for US Navy Installation Access.
Must hold at least a valid Class C Driver’s License.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
Experience with reading civil drawings.
5-10 years of experience.
Heavy Equipment Description:
Scissor Lift (considered scaffolding)
Skid Loader (Bobcat)
Light Duty Description:
Large Cutting Saws (Asphalt)
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
Ability to read civil drawings.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to prioritize and display a sense of urgency based on actions required.
Ability to function in a team environment.
Ability to demonstrate sense of urgency and instill this in others.
Ability to lift 70 lbs.
Ability to work in all climates .
