Company DescriptionCompany has been providing program management, development and outreach services for small- and large-scale programs throughout California.

Job Location: Fresno

Pay Rate: $10.00/hour

Temp or Temp-to-Hire or Direct Hire: Temp/ Temp-to-hire

 

Job Description:

  • Answer incoming calls in at least two languages (English and Korean), following appropriate script and/or procedures and assist caller with:
  • Screening for program eligibility
  • Forms review 
  • Detailed program information 
  • Scheduling
  • Request for information
  • Provide in-language customer service
  • Assist hearing impaired callers via TTY/TTD machine (training will be provided)
  • Perform outbound calls in two languages (English and designated language)
  • Check voice-mail system and return calls as appropriate
  • Perform data entry of information obtained during calls on existing computer equipment and database programs
  • Perform document translation, proofreading and in-language recording.
  • Document and report customer complaints or program issues to Supervisor and/or Manager 
  • Complete time accounting
  • Completes special projects as assigned by supervisor

 

Qualifications:

We are searching for individuals who meet the following educational and experiential backgrounds: 

    • Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent
    • Preferred: minimum of one year of general office experience
    • Preferred: experience in a call center environment, as a receptionist or working with multi-line phones
  • Must speak, read and write fluently the English language
  • Must be fluent (speak and write) in Korean
  • Must be able to comprehend reference material easily
  • Good customer relations skills with an excellent ability to handle difficult customers
    • Preferred: knowledge and experience in use of computer database software and data entry
    • Preferred: keyboarding abilities (30-35 wpm minimum)
    • Preferred: ability to use existing telephone equipment and headsets (will train if necessary)
  • Pleasant phone voice
  • Patient with customers 
  • Must be able to work independently with little direct supervision
  • General office environment with extended periods of time on the telephone
