iSeries DB2 Database Administrator
About the Job
RESPONSIBILITIES: Supporting scheduled and ad-hoc data-related jobs including ETL, Dev/Test data refreshes, and data replication. Working with development teams to design data-centric solutions to include data modeling and data-related documentation. Writing, analyzing, and tuning SQL. Providing support of iSeries off-platform connectivity to data. Supporting resolution of performance and production data issues. Supporting CMA with production migration and deployment processes.
REQUIRED SKILLS: Experience with i5/OS including DB2 UDB, iSeries DB2 security architecture and database administration including configuration, performance tuning, DB maintenance, data import and export, creation and modification of database objects (tables, views, indexes, triggers, stored procedures, UDF, MQT). Strong organizational skills. Strong verbal and written communications skills. Ability to work in teaming work environment. DESIRED SKILLS: Experience with ETL processes, supporting business customers from a technical, data-centric perspective. Database design/data modeling with standard methods, RPG and general SDLC, combined application/database and development/operational db support, DB2 query tuning EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. iSeries DB2 certification and data warehouse experience a plus.
