INSIDE SALES / BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Neville Island (Pittsburgh, PA) manufacturing and distribution company seeking full time candidate to fill inside sales / business development position.

 

Candidate should have a proven track record of business to business inside sales / business development experience. Industrial and/or commercial sales experience preferred. The understanding, experience, and comfort with industrial and heavy commercial processes and equipment are a definite advantage.

  

This isnota technical sales position. The candidate’s primary function is to be a consistent point of support / contact with existing customers and the first point of contact / liaison to outside sales with new business development opportunities.

 

The candidate’s attitude, personality, ability to connect with individuals over the phone and self-motivation are essential to the success of this position.

 

The candidate will be responsible for the following daily activities:

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify, develop and support new business opportunities for outside sales force.
  • Maintain and develop sales database of existing and prospective customers.
  • Place outbound calls to existing and prospective customer. Average Calls Per Day: 20 - 30
  • Provide industry specific literature and product information to support existing and prospective customer’s needs.
  • Provide general sales support to outside sales force.
  • Input and update client information in internal databases.
  • Effectively communicate feedback from existing and prospective customers with management.

 
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Process and enter customer orders.
  • Coordinating domestic and international shipping documents.
  • Additional duties to be identified as needed.

 

EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have 2-3 years of inside sales and customer service experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work with multiple deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

 

COMPENSATION

 

The company offers a competitive salary ($25,000 - $30,000), commission, permanent day hours, paid vacation, health benefits, 401K and business casual dress code.
