Inside Sales Agent (Lighting)
This is a unique and exciting opportunity to be part of a leading high mast and sports lighting manufacturer based in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Over the past few years, CHM has released the most efficient and highest output lighting products on the market. This has fueled a massive increase in demand for CHM products and we are now looking for a hardworking, progressive and dedicated individual to join our team as an Inside Sales Agent (ISA).
The Inside Sales Agent is responsible for directly corresponding with the CHM network of sales agents, customers and end users throughout the sales process. The Inside Sales Agent (ISA) manages individual opportunities from initial request for quote to order close. The right candidate must have an outgoing personality and be comfortable speaking with different clients from around the country. Because the volume of opportunities can be quite large, the ISA must be extremely detail oriented and organized.
The ISA will be leading sales efforts in lighting, steel towers and custom steel structures. Prior experience selling any of these products is not necessary though a background in construction estimating, direct sales or customer service would be useful. The candidate will be expected to learn both the CHM product and competitive product with the assistance of CHM sales and engineering staff. On a daily basis, the ISA will work on exciting projects such as the MN Twins Target Field, Dallas Cowboys Stadium and the Panama Canal.
The ISA will be trained on the unique and highly desirable skill of lighting photometric design by our team of industry leading lighting engineers. While previous experience with AutoCAD is not a requirement, the candidate must be comfortable in a technical environment and be willing and able to learn new skills and trades. The ISA will be provided the training to develop into a fully self-supporting sales engineer with a vast knowledge of the lighting industry that can only be gained from the ONLY lighting manufacturer in North America that builds the entire lighting system (tower, electrical system and lighting fixtures).
The ISA must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time in order to gain nationwide exposure to our sales network and customers and to prepare them for future growth within CHM.
The ISA will report directly to the Inside Sales Manager.
4 year Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Economics, or management focused degrees preferred)
Associates degree will not be considered
Experience in sales and customer service
Ability to understand technical concepts
Must be extremely comfortable and proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of how construction projects and estimated, specified and bid.
Ability to general read and review project plans.
Experience working with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
