Customer Service Move Coordinator

About the Job

Eagle Van Lines, Inc is an independently owned company that specializes in move management. We are currently seeking a Customer Service Move Coordinator.

The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, is results-oriented, analytical, enjoys managing a variety of responsibilities and thrives in a fast paced environment with a strong customer service orientation.  This position is responsible for overseeing move management projects from start to finish including negotiating and monitoring costs. This is a key position that is responsible for supporting the operations department. 


Job Purpose: Coordinator will work with a team and client to provide excellent customer service and move satisfaction from origin to destination.

Requirements:
1 to 2 years job or industry related experience
A minimum of an Associate's Degree in a related field is preferred.
Must have the ability to maintain a flexible attitude and approach towards assignments and successfully operate under ambiguous and changing guidelines
Must have reliable transportation to commute to work daily
Provide superior customer service
Must have excellent math skills
Must have excellent organizational skills including time management, planning, and multi-tasking
Must have excellent and professional verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
Professional appearance and personality (upbeat, energetic, dependable, takes initiative)
Ability to conduct basic research
Ability to make wise decisions on the spot
Must be proactive, self-directing and oriented with daily, weekly and monthly tasks

Duties:
Coordinator jobs include the following tasks:
(1) Receive and follow up inquires from potential clients ranging from corporate, trade and private customers.
(2) Organizing and maintaining records, including inquiries, storage movements, container inventories, shipment information, shipment dates, and shipment details.
(3) Ensuring the smooth moving process relating to the clients personal effects and household goods.
(4) Working as a team member who manages the move process for clients, which involves passing relevant information accurately to other team members.
(5) Producing quotes.
(6) Processing of bookings after communicating with dispatch.
(7) Preparing import and export documentation.
(8) Providing outstanding customer service to client while moving international household goods shipments in the most direct, and cost effective manner in accordance with the contract requirements and government regulations.
(9) Overseeing and coordinating the logistics of moving shipments from origin to destination.
