IT Project Manager/Business Analyst

About the Job

Auxilium Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking a IT Project Manager/Business Analyst to join its team in our Chesterbrook office. The IT Project Manager/Business Analyst will be responsible for the optimal use of existing and new systems and solutions. This includes changing and optimizing processes as well reconfiguring the systems to ensure fit within Auxilium's IT landscape.

 

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  1. Define project scope, goals, success criteria and key deliverables in collaboration with IT and business stakeholders. This includes setting and continually managing project expectations with team members and other stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  2. Analyze, document and optimize critical business processes in order to reduce waste (time, money, materials) and ensure fit with the systems and applications being used.
  3. Develop and maintain project plans, task list, review/develop requirements documentation and other associated documents and work with internal and external resources to accomplish these tasks.
  4. Act as the liaison between with business and project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  5. Be or become the subject matter expert in ModelN, SpendID, Commercial Operations as well as other Auxilium IT solutions.
  6. Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using Auxilium’s standard project management processes.
  7. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  8. Maintain systems development lifecycle methodology.
  9. Manage contracted vendors according to project timelines to ensure effective and efficient vendor relationships.
  10. Provide application support where required.

 

EDUCATION & TRAINING

  • Relevant BS degree
  • 5 years plus experience in a professional IT environment
  • Pharmaceutical experience preferred
  • PMP certification preferred

 

SKILLS & BEHAVIORS

  • Willingness to be hands on
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience in business process of computer systems supporting a Life Science Commercial Organization
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demand and timeline
  • Highly organized and works well in a team environment
  • Technical qualifications: must be proficient in MS-Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint), in creating basic SQL queries to validate test results.
  • Experience with MS Project or requirements management tools is highly desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
