IT Project Manager/Business Analyst

About the Job

We are looking to hire a

 

IT Project Manager / Business Analyst

 

with a financial software solutions company in Jacksonville, FL. The position is a full time, permanent role and we are looking to interview and hire immediately.

 

DETAILS:

·         Supporting multiple business units in the areas of requirements definition, requirements documentation, test case documentation, and creating and updating project documentation such as project plans, spreadsheets, status reports, and presentations

·         Provide general project support as required by Project Managers or other project team members

·         Keeping internal process documentation up to currency, review, and update of contractual documentation

·         Providing BA-level support to the Program Management Office, IT/App Dev, Operations, Vendor Management Office, Information Security, and Finance areas

·         In concert with the PM, complete business requirements gathering and design with all project participants

·         Participate in all requirements and design sessions and capture outputs

·         Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis

·         Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs

·         Work independently with users to define concepts and under direction of project manager

·         Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans

·         Take meeting minutes and track action items

·         Update project documentation as necessary, including but not limited to Project Plan, Issue/Action Log, Budget/Time tracking, status reports, etc.

·         Generate numerical data analysis as needed and derive conclusions and/or recommendations

·         Assist UAT SME with knowledge transfer of Business Requirements, etc. in order to complete UAT strategy and scenario documents

·         Review gap analysis documentation to understand gaps in the current state

·         Review gap analysis to understand the required (future) state of processes

·         Learn and stay current on legal and regulatory requirements for each platform

·         Create new or update existing documentation to fill gaps

·         Work with internal stakeholders to solicit input / feedback as required to maintain process documentation

·         Track tasks and communicate status of the overall effort in both formal and informal settings

·         Proactively identify and resolve issues that may negatively impact a deliverables

·         Analyze and interpret information to support decision making

·         Act as liaison with 3rd party regulatory SME, CRA regulatory SME’s and legal resources, governance team members and other stakeholders

·         Analyzes and interprets information to support decision making in operational tasks

·         Presents and articulates solutions to management and/or project stakeholders and others while interfacing with technical resources, business owners, end users, and management

·         Assists in the development process for operational activities, both in process improvement and process development

·         Participates in Change Management process and provides analysis for changes affecting e-OSCAR activities and/or project(s)

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         3+ years of IT Business Analyst experience

·         2+ years of IT Project Management experience

·         Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements

·         Ability to work under direction from multiple managers

·         Understands and has general knowledge of credit industry as relative to the requirements of the position

·         Candidate must be  a great communicator, detailed oriented, proactive, creative, and flexible

·         Experience working in Agile/Waterfall/SDLC environments

·         Excellent experience with business requirement gathering and documentation

·         Manual testing experience

·         Experience with MS Visio, Office, SharePoint, and Project

·         Ability to thrive in a fast paced, collaborative environment

·         Ability to communicate effectively, explain the problem and propose solutions

·         Critical thinking – the candidate must be able to work through the details of a problem to reach a solution

·         Inquisitive and persistent at gathering information from technical and business partners

·         Be flexible and efficiently multi-task

·         Take initiative and ownership of issues and resolutions

·         Detail oriented

·         Ask probing questions to find root cause and propose solutions to address the root cause
