
JOB TITLE: IT Project Manager
DEPARTMENT: Corporate Services
JOB DESCRIPTION:
A. Responsibilities
The project manager shall meet the objectives set by the company and immediate supervisor. Assist company in identifying and tracking projects through the project life cycle. Follow PMI’s methodologies to assist company with all project phases: initiation, planning, executing, controlling, and close out. Ensure assigned projects are completed according to company’s goals and key initiatives and according to stakeholders’ expectations. The project manager will be responsible for daily management of assigned projects.
B. Organizational Relationships
The project manager reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Project and Information Management in order to maintain commonality in project management practices. This is an “as assigned” job duty with additional responsibilities for project management to the other internal departments of the company as designated by the CIO. The IT Project Manager will have an indirect reporting structure to the SVP of Information Technology.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
A. Education and Training
The project manager should have a minimum of a Bachelors college degree with course work in business, finance, or computer related fields. PMP certification is required. Application development and ATM or Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT)/credit card processing experience is strongly preferred.
B. Technical Requirements
The project manager should have a minimum of five years of project management experience in managing technical personnel and complex activities utilizing full project life cycle development processes; i.e. initiation, planning, executing, controlling and close-out phases. General understanding of database design and architecture is required; experience in database development activities is preferred. A project manager should be proficient in Microsoft Office product suite, including Project, Outlook and PowerPoint. Additional technical skills preferred in relationship to working with an environment that is made up of Windows Servers, IP networks, development, and tasks centered on various compliance models, e.g., PCI, SOX, SAS 70.
C. Managerial Experience
The project manager should have a minimum of five years in managing project teams either by direct or indirect resource assignments and possess excellent written and oral communications skills. The project manager will work in a fast paced environment and will be expected to manage assignments with frequent priority changes and shifts in direction from senior management.
