Java Developer
Java Developer
Sirius Computer Solutions, a 27-year old, nationwide provider of integrated enterprise server, storage, and software solutions, and the nation's largest IBM Premier Business Partner, has an immediate opportunity for an experienced J2EE Developer to join the team in our Omaha office.
The selected candidate will have a strong desire to work with leading edge Java technologies, and be able to move flexibly between different project roles including analysis, design, programming, testing and documentation. This consulting position will require some travel to customer locations (10% of the time, on average) and includes both on-site and off-site work.
Sirius offers a competitive compensation package, including quarterly bonus opportunities, comprehensive medical/dental/vision and 401(k) benefits, and opportunities to further develop your technical and professional skills and pursue relevant certifications. Requirements:
Knowledge and Skills:??
Basic Qualifications
????????? Strong J2EE development skills minimum 5 years experience
????????? Eclipse - based IDE experience
????????? Recent experience using JavaServer Faces, Struts and/or other MVC web?
???????? frameworks
?????????Developing enterprise-level Java applications, from initial requirements?gathering to roll-out of the new system
????????? Experience as a part of an application development team that included developers, testers, QA/QC personnel, and project management personnel
???????? Bachelor?s degree in computer science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
????????? Application Server experience
?Other Required Qualifications
????????? Ability to maintain design documents and specifications which will be presented to the customer/client
????????? Ability to troubleshoot and identify potential problems and make appropriate changes as necessary
????????? Ability to work closely with clients and deal with them in a professional manner
????????? Excellent verbal and written communication skills
???????? Ability to speak with enthusiasm and confidence in order to retain customers and garner respect of staff
???????? Excellent interpersonal skills
?Other Desired Qualifications
?????????Willing to participate in research and review activities to determine new or best methods of proceeding on projects
????????? Hands-on experience with one or more of the following: WebSphere Message?Broker, WebSphere ESB and/or WebSphere Process Server??
????????? Experience with any of: FileNet; CM8; Domino; WebSphere Portal?? or?WebSphere Commerce
????????? WebSphere Application Server
????????? Certified in Java 1.2 or higher
