Jr. Account Executive – IT Consulting Sales

Excellent opportunity for a highly motivated, self-starter to fill a Jr. Account Executive role in a growing and entrepreneurial technology consulting firm. The individual will be responsible for selling the full suite of the firm’s services and solutions - including IT consulting, custom application development, engineering and automation, infrastructure and maintenance.
The Jr. Account Executive is responsible for identifying and building relationships with prospective client companies. This position requires you to obtain new business by utilizing a variety of channels. The Jr. Account Executive is responsible for achieving defined sales targets in specific markets and maintaining the highest business standards and professionalism as a representative of the firm.
•Proactively identify, qualify and lead opportunities focused on the firm’s solutions and services
•Hunt for new business via multiple channels, including phone (cold calls), social media, LinkedIn, email and face-to-face, employing a balanced contact plan to generate prospects
•Maintain a pipeline of new business opportunities
•Execute and support an aggressive Western U.S. growth strategy, meeting quarterly and annual sales quotas
•Analyze client needs to professionally prepare, submit and present accurate and timely proposals and presentations
•Track accounts and ensure regular contact
•Build relationships with key decision-makers and acquire an in-depth understanding of the organizational structure of targeted prospects
•Communicate ongoing contact/sales activities through sales pipeline reports, regular sales meetings, and report & update weekly on activity
•Develop and maintain knowledge of competition and industry trends
•Attend company trade shows and conduct off-site customer meetings as required
•Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with internal sales, technology, delivery and marketing teams
•Strong track record of sales experience, preferably in technology services and solutions (custom application development, automation, eCommerce, Big Data, etc.)
•Proven ability to call on, network with, and sell to decision-makers of Fortune 500 target companies
•Excellent cold calling, objection handling and closing skills
•Entrepreneurial team-oriented person that thrives in a high-energy, fast-paced environment; self-starter with the ability to plan and carry out responsibilities
•Mix of business and technology acumen
•Strong interpersonal, time-management, organization and presentation skills
•Excellent communicator in all formats, styles and methods of communication including traditional (person-to-person, email, phone) and new media (Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin)
•1-3 years of technical sales and professional services experience (selling IT services and solutions, or in a related industry.)
•Proficient in web-based applications, computer systems and programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
•Strong professional ethics and integrity
•Report directly to the Sr. Director of Business Development

•California, San Francisco or Los Angeles
•Travel: 20% - 40%
