Level 2 Customer Service Representative

Ethical Electric seeks a dynamic and detail-oriented customer service representative to help us provide effective and efficient customer service to our members.

Enrolling takes less than a minute and service is provided through a customer’s utility with no interruptions, construction projects or new equipment to install.   1.        Process escalated customer requests
  2.        Answer incoming questions from multiple marketing channels via email and phone
  3.        Make outgoing calls to retain current members and enroll new members
  4.        Record customer information accurately
  5.        Other duties as assigned


  1.        Telefundraising, telemarketing, or phone customer service experience (Level 2 customer service experience preferred)
  2.        Demonstrate an enthusiasm for customer service and sales
  3.        Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills
  4.        Maintain a professional approach that is both persuasive and respectful
  5.        Understanding of progressive, climate & energy issues a plus
  6.        High School Diploma or equivalent (College degree preferred)
  7.        Pass a basic background check

Compensation starts at $15 per hour. The position is a contract position for 40 hours per week with possibility for extension of contract or transition to full-time employee. Full-time employment may be offered to the right candidate and would include a robust benefits package.
