About the Job

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK PERFORMED

           

Ø    Maintain all shop equipment in working condition to keep production running

Ø    Run errands to the hardware store when needed

Ø    Fabricate new equipment

Ø    General maintenance

Ø    Must have strong electrical background

Ø    Understanding of 3 phase 480 VAC, DC and Logic

Ø    Have knowledge with PLC’s

Ø    Perform Lock Out Tag Out

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Ø    Repair, Rebuild and Install equipment as needed

Ø    Complete jobs as assigned

Ø    Accurately completing administrative documents and following directions are important work traits

Ø    Candidates must demonstrate technical experience, reliability and the ability to work independently

Ø    Able to assemble and properly break-down basic equipment accurately with repeatability

Ø    Follow company policies.

Ø    Ability to weld & Fabrication

 

 

MINIMUM PRIOR KNOWLEDGE AND/OR EXPERIENCE

 

Ø    High School Diploma

Ø    3-5 Maintenance (manufacturing environment) experience 

Ø    High degree of attention to detail

Ø    Ability to speak, read, write and understand English

Ø    Bilingual a plus

Ø    Must be computer literate

Ø    Self-motivated

Ø    Attentive to quality, safety, cleanliness and efficiency standards

Ø    Should have troubleshooting skills in industrial, electrical (PLC's, A/C & D/C motors and drives, reading schematics), hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical failures and the aptitude to correct those failures.

 

 

CLC TRAINING REQUIRED

 

Ø    LOTO

Ø    HAZMAT/MSDS

 

EQUIPMENT/TOOLS USED

 

Ø    MUST HAVE OWN TOOLS

Ø    Hand Tools, (Hammer, wrench, screw drivers, pliers)

Ø    Lathe

Ø    Welder

Ø    Mill

Ø    Service Grinder

Ø    All power tools

 

 

SAFETY

           

Ø    Follow all safety rules and procedures

Ø    Properly use required safety equipment

Ø    Safety glasses and orange vests are the minimum when in the plant.  Various types of other Personal Protective Equipment as needed based on the area and job working in at the facility.

Ø    Participate in safety meetings

Ø    Perform Lock Out Tag Out when working on equipment
