Eaton has an opening for a Manager IT – ERP & Manufacturing Systems in the Manufacturing Center of Excellence (MCoE) team in the Industrial Sector organization.

This position is a manager for all Manufacturing & ERP Implementation delivery services for the Industrial Sector (Aerospace, Hydraulics (GG and FILT), and Vehicle Group facilities in the Americas region. The team managed by the incumbent provides project management, business analysis and model process (standard work) deployment for our core ERP applications (Mfg/Pro, Oracle & JD Edwards) and the core integrated applications. The team has expertise in materials management, supply chain (SCM), manufacturing execution and other key business processes and works directly with the sponsor locations to improve business performance. The incumbent reports to the V.P. – IS IT Manufacturing Center of Excellence (MCoE). This individual will have in depth knowledge of ERP/Materials Management systems (MFG/PRO, Oracle, etc.) and have at least 10 years of experience in managing people and delivery of complex implementation projects and on-going support. This person must understand key business process in depth and be well structured in developing standard work and deliverying model processes. They essentially could fill a materials manager or supply chain manager position given their process knowledge and depth of understanding of the business system (ERP solutions).

The incumbent will lead a team of employees and contract personnel covering major ERP, ERP to finance or ERP/MM Health improvement initiatives simultaneously. In addition the team will provide first line support for advanced user ERP training, addressing problems and guiding the end users in the proper use of the ERP/business systems. This includes all aspects of planning, process design, process definition, measurement, reporting, budget, execution, and completion of major, strategic, and critical information technology-related projects across the Americas Region for the Industrial Sector operations. This person will ensure that their team delivers these significant projects effectively and reliably to meet the strategic objectives and roadmaps as defined for the IS Americas region. The person must ensure all stakeholders are engaged, projects are completed, and return on investment is realized. The projects led by the incumbent/s group will typically exceed several hundred thousand dollars, may span multiple operations/divisions, have significant associated risk, and be critical to Industrial Sector Americas operational success.

Other key activities are:
• Manages hiring, retention and development of IT Project Managers, Specialists, Business/Functional Analysts and their teams
• Provides overall Program Management to tie effective deployment of ERP across entire divisions (ie Aerospace, Hydraulics & Vehicle group (Automotive & Truck)
• Manages capacity planning for ERP implementations and ERP utilization improvement initiatives.
• Maintains tight alignment with Divisional BRM’s (Business Relationship Managers), understanding business priorities and overall implications to the Divisional ERP models.


• Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution required.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in managing people and delivery of complex implementation projects.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Galesburg, MI, Southfield, MI, Marshall, MI and Maumee, OH will be considered.
