Marketing Project Manager II

This position is responsible for developing and implementing marketing programs and campaigns necessary to achieve company objectives in Delta Dental’s Federal Government Programs (FGP) division. Delta Dental FGP supports the TRICARE, Veterans Affairs, Federal Employee Benefits and US Public Health dental programs. Job responsibilities include, and are not limited to, campaign development, campaign execution, campaign management, segment analysis, program/project management, and various ad hoc assignments.


Duties include:

·          Assists management in developing marketing strategies and program plans that support company efforts to increase market share through new sales and retention of existing customers, with emphasis on consumer behavior regarding ecommerce initiatives.

·          Assists in assessing market segment competitive landscape, market research, and statistical analysis to identify trends for improving and/or launching new programs.

·          Works cross-functionally to execute campaigns – including list sourcing, segmentation, creation of direct marketing campaigns, online marketing including social media, and post-campaign analysis.

·          Monitors performance, response and return on investment of marketing campaigns to ensure that program and financial objectives are met.

·          Manages the production of collateral marketing materials and online marketing (website, social media and email) strategies.

·          Prepares reports and presentations on campaign results and makes recommendations to management.

·          Manages program budgets for marketing campaigns.

·          Provides marketing thought leadership that fosters innovative concepts and strategic marketing initiatives focused on growth of business in new and existing markets.



·          Must be a US Citizen and possess or be eligible to obtain DOD ADP II Clearance

·          A minimum of 5 years related experience in Marketing and/or Communications.

·          A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or related field of study. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

·          At least 3 years of experience developing, executing and managing direct marketing campaigns, including online marketing (websites, social media, and email).

·          Experience with Marketing Automation Systems (e.g. Adobe Campaign, Oracle Eloqua) preferred.

·          Proven self-starter with strong ability to retain and execute job requirements/tasks, learn and adapt quickly, make decisions confidently, and meet deadlines.

·          Ability to operate within a cross-functional team facilitating and coordinating issue identification and resolution between our customers and various internal departments.

·          Detail-oriented with interest in project management and strength in problem solving.

·          Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks and concurrent projects while being flexible in response to changing job priorities.

·          Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

·          Demonstrated expertise and passion for marketing.

·          Basic graphic design knowledge and website functionality/usability experience.

·          Healthcare and/or insurance industry experience preferred.

·          Experience with Microsoft Office suite including PowerPoint; Microsoft Project experience a plus

·          Knowledge and application of English grammar with strong composition, editing and proofreading skills.

·          Detail orientated with ability to efficiently learn and retain job tasks.

·          Advanced analytical and problem solving skills to evaluate business processes and recommend effective solutions.

·          Advanced organizational/time management and project management skills and multitasking abilities.

·          Knowledge of project development life cycle, including the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple complex projects at one time.
