Our 30 year-old Tennessee based company is looking for a marketing representative that could help homeowners maximize their insurance claim after they’ve suffered a catastrophic fire. Most insurance adjusters don’t offer to pay a property owner all that they are due; particularly on their contents.
The insurance companies require the homeowner to list and price every item in their home that was damaged. It is a very time consuming and emotional task for a traumatized family. We, on the other hand, have very experienced inventory specialists who work very closely with the homeowners to document all of the contents lost in the fire (down to a half-bottle of shampoo).
We are looking for a marketing representative in Knoxville to help identify prospective clients who could use someone like us to assist them with their claim. Our two marketing representatives in middle Tennessee both made over $80,000 the last two years.
What makes our business so unique is that almost every property owner is totally unprepared to deal with the many facets of an insurance claim. They never think that they are the one that is going to have a fire to their home. Most have never even read their policy and don’t have the slightest idea what their benefits are and how they are indemnified for the loss of their contents. That lack of knowledge and experience puts them at a great disadvantage when dealing with the insurance adjuster and usually results in an offer to the homeowner that is far less than what they are entitled. If they can see the benefits of an inventory expert helping them document their loss then we can prevent them from being a victim a second time.
As a marketing representative you must be trustworthy, personable, compassionate and unafraid to introduce yourself to a stranger. The service we provide is very simple to explain so no insurance, or claims, experience is necessary to do this job. We can train you for all you need to know. If you have a successful track record in sales and marketing (and have a college degree) we would be interested in seeing your resume and talking with you.
Our marketing reps are compensated on a commission basis and are reimbursed for their mileage so there are little, if any, out-of-pocket expenses. (To be clear, you would not be doing the inventorying as we already have very capable, experienced people who have responsibility for that function).
We are looking for one marketing rep to cover the area within a 100-mile radius of Knoxville. There is no overnight travel and we work well with those who need some flexibility in their schedules.
