Mechanical Engineer – Project Manager MEP

THE NEED

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer Project Manager for our client’s office in Baltimore, MD.  The company has a very successful MEP practice and is continuing to grow due to an expanding backlog.  The successful candidate position will be responsible:

• Providing mechanical engineering and design including HVAC, plumbing and fire protection and other related services for a wide range of commercial, institutional and industrial projects.
• Plan, schedule, conduct and coordinate mechanical engineering work, including supervision of the design and progress of a project. This will include the coordination of the project with Local, City, State, and County codes and officials.
• Serve as a liaison between clients and agencies, subcontractors, and design teams.
• Provide project management and technical guidance for the work of other engineers and project team

REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate for the Mechanical Engineer Project Manager position will meet the following requirements:

• A minimum of 8 years of mechanical engineering experience with an MEP focus, 
• Experience with projects types such as commercial, educational, healthcare, retail and industrial facilities, 
• Must have knowledge of or ability to use Microstation, Auto CADD and building load simulation programs.
•  Must be a self starter with excellent communication, organization, people, and computer skills.
