Insurance Follow-up Representative
Job Description
Corresponds with various insurance companies via telephone in a
courteous, professional and timely manner regarding outstanding
accounts; applies knowledge of practice procedures and various
insurance plans to respond to incoming correspondence and documents;
answers correspondence from insurance plans and physicians' offices;
participates in education programs as requested; understands and
complies with all HIPAA regulations; performs other related duties as
assigned.
Typical Day
Basic schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5 pm. Dress code
is office casual (jeans are permitted). Lunch break is unpaid for 30
minutes. Two paid 15 minute breaks will be allowed.
Compensation and Benefits
Competitive; commensurate with experience.

Requirements
* Must have at least 3-5 years of medical billing experience and a full
understanding of AR operations (Strong preference for professional
and/or surgical billing experience).
* 3-5 years of experience with different payors.
* Must have knowledge of reading explanations of benefits.
* Must have excellent computer and communication skills.
* Must be motivated to excel in a fast paced environment.
* GE/IDX experience a big plus.
