Position Summary

The Mgr, Recruiting – PD will interface directly with leaders in the Product Development (PD) organization to deliver the right recruiting strategy to meet global recruiting needs. They will provide full cycle recruitment support as well as manage a team of technical recruiters. They will build recruiting plans, drive recruitment analytics that help identify opportunities to get more efficient and effective, and partner with their recruiters and the HR team to design innovative ways to attract, recruit, assess and hire top talent. 




·           Responsible for full cycle recruitment of technical positions in the PD organization, which may include Software and Test Engineers through Sr. Management levels.

·           Management duties include the supervision of exempt and/or nonexempt level staff in North America. This includes but is not limited to, conducting performance evaluations, approving paid time-off (PTO), assigning or delegating work, providing on-the-job training, giving guidance to staff, conducting performance improvement plans, taking disciplinary action, interviewing candidates for open positions and making hiring decisions.

·           Help design, deliver and scale recruiting initiatives for the PD organization at F5. This may include training, careers website design, streamlining processes & procedures as well as development of global interview and candidate assessment tools for the PD organization.

·           Actively promote F5’s diversity hiring initiatives and messaging within the global organization. Ensure full compliance with US OFCCP guidelines and manage implementation of the Affirmative Action Plan for hiring within the PD organization.

·           Partner with HR team to provide PD executive staff with analytical reports to substantiate global recruiting activities.




·           Proven skills as a full-cycle technical recruiter. Deep understanding of passive and direct sourcing techniques. Significant experience identifying, screening, interviewing and closing candidates for highly technical and managerial positions.

·           Strong people management skills, with experience hiring, managing performance, developing junior to senior level recruiters and coordinators.

·           Successful track record of delivering on aggressive hiring goals, including recruitment of niche software engineering talent.

·           Senior-level presence, professional demeanor, and strong business acumen with ability to credibly influence executives and sell ideas up, down, and across a matrixed organization.

·           Strong analytics and planning skills; ability to identify root issues that impact the team's ability to recruit better, faster, and more cost effectively.

·           Effective strategic thinking, problem solving, cross group collaboration, and oral/written/persuasive communication skills are necessary.

·           Expert knowledge of the full-cycle recruitment process and EEOC/OFCCP guidelines and regulations.

·           BA Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or equivalent work experience.

·           8+ years of technical recruiting experience, and 5+ years experience managing a recruiting team comprised of junior to senior technical recruiters is required.

·           Strong preference for experience working in a corporate recruiting setting.

·           PHR /SPHR certification preferred


Physical Demands and Work Environment


Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).

Duties may require the ability to travel via automobile or airplane, up to 10% of the time spent traveling.

Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table. Duties require the ability to utilize a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.
