We are currently searching for an experienced New Model Buyer for our corporate headquarters in Anderson, IN
The purpose of this position is to coordinate direct material procurement of purchased parts to ensure the best sourcing, product development, and material cost in support of KNA New Model developments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Execute purchased parts development and supplier planning for assigned new product projects.
•Negotiate supplied part prices and terms to achieve project cost targets.
•Recommend supplier selection and execute supplier development strategy utilizing QCDD analysis.
•Propose and implement cost savings and VA/VE projects.
•Prepare and Integrate new parts and suppliers from Plant trials to mass production
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills)
•2 yr. degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management (or commensurate work experience)
•Minimum of 3 years related work experience (in a manufacturing environment)
•Knowledge and experience sourcing engineering components and new program/new model development
•Requires up to 20% travel
•Intermediate level proficiency Windows, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills)
•Understanding and experience in practicing Purchasing policies, procedures, & supply
