The ideal candidate for the Office Associate role at Habit OPCO is someone who is professional, friendly, courteous and team-oriented. He/she should demonstrate compassion and a personal commitment to excellence in serving patients, co-workers and other key customer groups. The person in this role must be able to consistently maintain the professional boundaries; ensure patient confidentiality; and contribute to creating a friendly, therapeutic environment.
The Office Assistant will perform a variety of clerical tasks requiring basic computer, filing, and typing skills. This person is also responsible for answering and directing telephone calls at the front desk; taking accurate messages and conveying them in a timely manner. He/she will assist in scheduling appointments; distributing patient mail and identification cards, and will respond to questions from patients, customers and colleagues. This role will also provide filing support.
In cooperation with the Security Associate, the Office Assistant is responsible for keeping the physical environment clear of safety hazards; and properly managing patient flow to ensure the safety and security of both patients and staff. He/she may also be asked to distribute oral swabs; observe patients as they provide sample; and document incidents of tampering/diversion of specimens to a supervisor.
Qualified candidates should have a High School diploma or equivalent. He/she MUST be able to read, write, and speak English effectively; file or sort via alphabetical and numerical criteria; operate standard office equipment (i.e., fax, computers, etc.); and accurately follow directions.
The hourly rate for this position is $10-11.50/hour depending on experience.
