About the Job

-Full-Time Compounding Pharmacy Technician-

A Pharmacy Tech is a critical position in processing customer prescriptions and managing pharmacy inventory.  This job requires friendly, caring and accurate service.  This position requires Tennessee Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration, High School Education or equivalent and 3 years’ minimum experience as pharmacy technician.

The ideal candidate would have these skills:


  • Experience in lab or compounding pharmacy a plus
  • Be able to learn and adapt quickly to a dynamic work environment

  • Be able to perform basic mathematical calculations in an accurate manner
  • Knowledge of pharmacy processes and medications utilized 
  • Extensive experience / knowledge of pharmacy systems. Knowledge of PK Software a plus. 
  • Above average user knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
  • Proven project management skills with attention to detail and ability to analyze and prioritize projects to meet the needs of the patients
  • Proven excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Be able to stand and work steadily for long periods of time
  • Teachable and has a strong work ethic

    Job Tasks:
  • Fill customer prescriptions
  • Manage Inventory: Order and receive stock, as well as process expired stock
  • Provide friendly customer service and assistance
  • Dress in a neat and clean manner with the uniform policy as described by company policy
  • Make sure the counters and shelves are organized and neat
  • Answer the phone in a courteous and professional manner
  • Handle customer complaints and compliments graciously. If you are unable to address an issue, get assistance from a manager
  • Protect the security of company and customer information
  • Complete required training within requested timeframe
  • Complete other requests by pharmacist or general manager, as required

  • Licensure and Certification:  

    • Registered Pharmacy Technician
    • Sterile/Non-Sterile courses completed with certification (or willingness to obtain)
    • Experience with USP Chapters <797> and <795> (Sterile and Non-Sterile requirements a plus)

    Hours: 8-5pm Monday-Friday.

    Compensation varies depending on experience/education/certifications
