Business Manager – Industrial Power

Position Summary:
Industry leading Semiconductor Company is looking for a sharp Business Manager with product management background and expertise in the Industrial market/applications such as factory automation, process control, and mil/aero. Strong preference will be given to applicant who has worked with Siemens, Honeywell or Rockwell.
The Business Manager is responsible for all aspects of the product line with P&L and revenue accountability. This role is an excellent stepping stone to Director and VP Level opportunities. The CEO views this role as running a "company inside a company".
This is an exciting, high visibility opportunity to help build a new business line with responsibility for strategy, business plan, product plan, and marketing. You should have an entrepreneurial spirit, technical competence, and initiative. Your insights, recommendations, and decisions will have a significant impact on Company’s growth and success.
- Develop comprehensive business plan with strategies, tactics, products, resources and revenue plan
- Analyze the market and competition to determine areas of focus
- Work closely with the field and customers to develop product-line roadmaps
- Lead product definition and engineering managers to develop product definition document
- Accountable for products from cradle to grave. Present business plan to CEO regularly
- Product & Business Management:
- Track and manage the development of the products and keep them on schedule.
- Manage margins and P&L by monitoring quoting, competition, market segments, and cost reduction initiatives
- Drive yield improvement and product obsolescence plans as appropriate.
- Coordinate with design/test engineering, QA, fabs, and supply chain to drive business
- Marketing:
- Promotion - Drive Ads, Data Sheets, PR, seminars, partnerships, and reference designs
- Train FAEs/Account managers/Distributors to get unfair mindshare of the field
- Create and drive Marketing & Sales Collateral- Sales Guides, Brochures, Design Guides, Web pages (parametric search, landing pages, product pages)
- Sales & Business Development:
- Primary point of contact for AM and FAEs; travel as required
- Work with Field Personnel to develop and execute account penetration strategies
- Obtain design wins, work with regional sales and distribution to support opportunities and grow revenue
Targets:
Ideal candidate is someone with strong industrial market (focus will be PLC, PAC, Ethernet infrastructure) knowledge with formative experience in Power ICs.
Minimum BSEE with a preference for MSEE and/or MBA and 5 – 20 years technical industry experience in roles leading to Marketing, Product or Business Management roles.
