Product Development Scientist

To support the development and commercialization of new flavors and flavor processes



  • Supervise, support and deliver successful Technical Center flavor scale-up initiatives in support of research and business objectives

  • Deliver flawless execution of flavor scale-ups which are critical to meeting the needs of key development milestones: consumer testing, flavor optimization, stability testing and final product launch timing on a world-wide basis

  • All raw materials approved, staged, and organized for successful manufacturing capabilities

  • Ensure quality of flavor productions as measured by meeting specifications

  • Share scale-up learnings and best practices with key partners

  • Support flavor development, application and integration initiatives by accurately compounding and submitting samples for analytical and sensory evaluation

  • Provide lab support in the execution and screening of flavors for pungency testing. Maintain database for consistency in process and evaluation


Qualifications:



  • Proven track record in flavor compounding and commercialization

  • Ability to use bench scale and pilot plant equipment flawlessly to produce target quality flavor products including flavor intermediates, blends and extracts

  • Outstanding teamwork, communication (verbal and written), organizational skills, and time management

  • Ability to self-initiate, manage multiple tasks independently to meet business objectives and to support individuals in the work group

  • Associate degree with bench-work experience

  • BS in scientific field

  • 1-3 years working with ingredients and flavors in the food industry
