Job Description:
Mission of function
The mission of the Product Manager, ADVIA Centaur Assays, is to serve as business leader for ADVIA Centaur assays throughout the product lifecycle. The incumbent is responsible for product strategy, product development, product health, and partner management for these products. The incumbent is responsible for coordinating across functions to manage the products during each stage of the lifecycle.

Dimension of function
Product Manager is responsible for helping lead the ADVIA Centaur Assay business in the assigned disease state portfolio. The scope of this role includes complete product lifecycle management of ADVIA Centaur Assays, as well as management of key external partners including OEMs and strategic relationships. Particulary, this individual should be capable of leading cross functional product health teams, and of participating as a PPM member on product development programs. Additionally, the PM will play a key role in assessing and determining product strategy and product initiatives (product health and product development).
Contacts (internal / external)
Reports to the VP Product Portfolio Management Centaur Assays. Interacts with members of all BU and OSG functions to achieve objectives. Maintains relationships with customers and cluster organizations to understand customer needs and translate those needs into actionable requirements. Actively monitors industry to understand the competitive environment and anticipates market trends and demands. BU interface to external partners and responsible for managing relationships with suppliers of OEM products. Key participant of governance team that drives product strategy and product health. Capable of developing and presenting business proposals for product / portfolio strategc initiatives to BU Senior Management.

Porfolio Strategy / Market Development Proposals - Analyze and define proposals for new markets / channels to enhance one or more assigned products in partnership with BU Marketing. Shared
Portfolio Strategy / SCM Strategy - Analyze and define Supply Chain strategy for one or more assigned products in partnership with OSG organization. Share
Product Development / PDP Core Teams: Serve as the PLM core team member and Marketing element team leader for product development programs for one or more assigned products. Full

Product Health / Product Health Governance: Chair the Product Health Team(s) for one or more assigned products. Participate on Product Health Task Teams to resolve acute issues. Full
Product Health / Quality: Participate in SPPs, PQCs, and FCAs for one or more assigned products. Shared
Product Health / Product Health Response: Initiate new product health and product development programs to address product health issues. Share
Product Health / End of Life: Plan and execute end of life programs for one or more assigned products. Shared
Product Health / Product Health Communication - Create customer / cluster communications relative to product health initiatives in partnership with BU Marketing. Shared
Partner Management / Partner Relationship Management: Partner with Strategic Procurement to manage company relationships with assigned OEM suppliers. Represent Siemens as business lead in these relationships. Shared
