The Position:


As an industry leader in the development and manufacturer of leading edge sealing technology we have an immediate need for a talented Manufacturing / Project & Design Engineer. This senior level individual will contribute their skills to the successful evaluation and development to the next generation of manufacturing related equipment. As an integral member of the manufacturing engineering group  you will be collaborating in a team environment develops assigned portions of design by analyzing specifications and performance requirements. This position will draw upon strong technical/ engineering knowledge and will Investigates product development factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, cost-defining recommendations, and change proposals. Provides technical information for review with product engineering and design review teams. 

The successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record of professional success in manufacturing operation.

Additional responsibilities would likely include:

  • Lead endeavors to identify design and/or quality improvement or performance in  our manufacturing equipment.
  • Lead the product development and release to manufacturing of  1) developing specifications to capture enhancement requirements; 2) developing preliminary conceptual designs; 3) overseeing assembly and testing of prototypes; 4) completing detailed designs; and 5) transferring released designs to the production team.
  • Manage third party contractor manufacturers, including: 1) research and qualify new contract manufacturers; 2) provide information such as drawings and specifications to support projects that have been contracted to third parties; 3) provide project management for outsourced work.
  • Provide assistance on installation and operation of manufactured equipment. Activities include: provide supporting data on finished units, develop equipment costing, troubleshoot problems in the field and provide root cause analysis.
  • Assist with the implementation of safety measures and quality control programs within the manufacturing segment..

 

The Requirements:

  • BSME w/ 3-7 years of professional experience with industrial manufacturing equipment and machinery.
  • 3+ years’ experience with engineering design of industrial equipment  which may include ASME, structural design, etc.
  • Conversant with CAD software packages just as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
