Purchasing Manager



A position for a high caliber purchasing professional with a proven track record in a Strategic Purchasing along with supplier and team development. The ideal candidate will have an Electrical Sourcing background and working knowledge of SAP.  Will oversee buyers in their daily function of procuring Haas commodity items.  Ensuring that correct policies and procedures are maintained. 

Teaching new employees MRP/ERP, company policies, and general purchasing practices, Haas Automation practices.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Electrical Strategic Sourcing Strategy


Ability to directly manage 3 to 10 employees.


Full knowledge of MRP/ERP processes and functions (ideally in SAP)


Set-up parts in MRP/ERP for future buying.


Locate and qualify vendors for any part utilizing and developing a Global Supplier base.


Negotiate better pricing and delivery on all parts.


Perform all purchasing functions without supervision, accurately and timely.


Thorough knowledge of all Haas parts and inventory levels.


Ability to teach, counsel, inspire and discipline their employees.



Directly supervises 3 – 10 employees in the Purchasing Department.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work, yearly reviews teach and discipline as necessary

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year accredited college or university, degree preference in a  Supply Chain related major; other majors will be considered. ; or ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
