About the Job

At The Children's Home of Pittsburgh & Lemieux Family Center our mission is to promote the health and well-being of infants and children through services which establish and strengthen the family.  If you are interested in providing excellent service to our infants, children, and their families- we may have a place for you!

We are looking to fill positions for the following:

  • Full-Time Registered Nurses in our Pediatric Specialty Hospital.  This position would rotate both nights and weekends and work 36 hours per week.
  • Part-Time Registered Nurse in our Pediatric Extended Care Center, Child's Way.  This position would require 20 hours per week.

2 or more years of previous Pediatric experience preferred.

The Pediatric Specialty Hospital is an acute care hospital as licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health, serving children from birth to age 21.  With specialized infant and pediatric services, our hospital offers a transitional setting or “bridge” between the hospital and home for infants, children and their families.

Child's Way is a day care for children with special medical needs ages birth to age 21 who may also be technology dependent.  Our expert staff of pediatric registered nurses and child care associates provides children with consistent medical care while incorporating educational, developmental, therapies and play activities into their daily schedule.

The Children's Home of Pittsburgh's nurses provide quality care and medical treatment to pediatric and high-risk infants.  They exercise independent judgments in utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.  The nurses also work closely with other professionals in the provision of total nursing care to assigned patients.  While the actual duties and responsibilities will vary depending on the assigned area, this position requires excellent clinical skills, compassion, and knowledge of various pediatric diagnoses.  The average patient to nurse ratio is 3:1.

We offer EXCELLENT benefits to our full-time employees as well as Paid Time Off to both full-time and part-time staff!  FREE On-site Parking!!!
