RN-St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, NY
*Full time 12-hour night shift
This position is on the 6th floor of St. Peter's Hospital-general surgey unit-You will have the opportunity to work with patients in their post surgical experience following hepatic-billiary, gastrointestinal, and bariatric surgery. You can excel in post op care, specialized wound care, ostomy care, integration of physical and occupational therapies into the recovery process, and patient education.
Nurses working in General Surgery have the support of comprehensive orientation developed by clinical nurse specialists in surgical nursing, on-site BLS classes, and on going clinical education. The staff is highly involved in quality improvement activities, program development, recognition activities, and team building. The clinical ladder program provides the opportunity for professional growth through mentoring, opportunities for leadership, and generous educational funding.
