Description Position Summary: Under general supervision the RN staff nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures of GrandStrandRegionalMedicalCenter. In collaboration with the patient, the patients family and other members of the health care team, the clinical RN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and coordinates treatment plans.
Qualifications Position Requirements:
Licensure/Certification/Registration: The Registered Nurse will have a valid license under the Compact License Agreement. (The Nurse Licensure Compact allows a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse licensed in a Compact state to practice across state lines in another compact state without having to obtain a license in the other state. It is important to remember that the Nurse Licensure Compact requires nurses to adhere to the nursing practice laws and rules of the state in which he/she practices under his/her Compact license. Compact rules and regulations will require each nurse to declare in writing his/her primary state of residence upon initial application and renewal of the nursing license.
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Professional nursing. Always current BCLS.
Experience: Two (2) year recent experience in Perioperative Nursing.
Knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or other attributes: Effective communication skills; both orally and written. Computer skills needed. Ability to manage a team and work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care. Strong problem solving skills.
