The Bloomberg Enterprise Regulatory group is seeking a highly focused and motivated financial markets professional to be part of its product development team. The team is responsible for creating, designing and supporting Regulatory, Accounting, Tax and Liquidity related quantitative models using Bloomberg's proprietary analytics and industry-leading database. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a deep understanding of the current regulatory and accounting landscape, namely Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR), Dodd-Frank, Basel III, Solvency II, Taxation requirements and ASC 820/IFRS 13 to assist in expanding Bloomberg product offering suite. This individual will join a growing platform comprised of former traders, debt originators, auditors and portfolio managers and will work closely with clients, auditors and regulators.
The successful candidate will contribute to the development of the Regulatory Products business strategies. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Work closely with R&D and Analysts to ensure products are developed in accordance with business specifications, executed and released on time and properly tested
-Proper documentation of methodologies and training of all internal staff
-Work with Client Relationship Specialists to meet with clients to develop a production pipeline. Produce appropriate marketing materials for released products
-Maintain regular contact with market participants, auditors, regulators and clients
-Enhance existing Bloomberg Regulatory Product offerings including Stress Testing, Liquidity Assessment, Fair Value Hierarchy Leveling (FVHL), Solvency II and Tax solutions.
-Bachelor's degree (CPA or CFA a plus)
-Strong relationships with accounting firms and/or regulators- Five or more years of experience in quantitative modeling, financial reporting or capital markets project management
-Deep understanding of fixed income securities, analytics and pricing models
-Background in insurance or buyside preferred
-Experience in regulatory implementation projects preferred
-Highly motivated with excellent communication skills
-Highly detail-oriented with solid analytic skills
-Commitment to enhancing and developing existing products
-Ability to work with and analyze a large amount of market data
-Capable of fostering relationships with new and existing clients
-Superior knowledge of Microsoft Excel, statistical analysis tools and Bloomberg applications
