Position Summary:

Perform mammalian tissue culture related techniques.

Key Responsibilities: 

The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist with all cell culture aspects using good aseptic techniques – feeding, freezing, thawing and harvesting human cell lines
  • Prepare reagents
  • Perform HLA typing using serological and molecular techniques
  • Perform PBMC  isolation, and Cell Line transformation
  • Perform Immunological assays using ELISA, Flow Cytometry, and Luminex technology
  • Assist with recombinant HLA cell line development and with Monoclonal Antibody development
  • Perform DNA extraction using various techniques
  • Maintain and complete laboratory notebook
  • Deliver regular project reports to Supervisor and  Manager

Essential Functions:

Perform technical laboratory protocols.

Contacts and Relations:

Daily interaction with the laboratory staffs, including project leaders and general laboratory staff members in coordinating daily activities.


Maintain confidentiality of sensitive laboratory and business data.  In addition he/she will ensure that safe laboratory procedures and protocols are followed at all times especially in the application of universal precautions in handling of all blood and blood byproducts.  All laboratory personnel are expected to notify their immediate supervisors of any unsafe conditions and/or practices and to take appropriate correction action.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Education/Training Experience:

  • B.S. in the Biological Sciences.
  • Knowledge of cell culture procedures and microbiological principle of contamination.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office 

Ability to:

Organize and plan oneself in a reliable and consistent manner.  Prepare and present production reports to management regarding daily activities.  Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with management and staff members.  Maintain confidentiality of sensitive laboratory information, perform company data entry in a conscientious manner.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

Laboratory setting.  Occasionally sit in front of monitor utilizing PC for data input and/or analysis.
